Features to know about

Built for Big Loads: Complete Triple-Axle Setup for Double-Eye Springs

When you’re building or overhauling a heavy triple-axle suspension, this kit gives you everything to hang your springs solidly and keep the system working in sync. It includes eight 3-1/4" tall front, center, and rear hangers, four 7-3/4" long curved equalizers, sixteen 2-5/8" shackle straps, and twenty-four 3" x 9/16" diameter shackle bolts with locknuts. It’s designed for trailers with triple 2,000-lb to 7,000-lb axles, so it’s ready for serious weight and long-haul use.

Smooth Travel Over Rough Roads: Equalizers Keep Axles Working Together

Uneven roads can make a heavy trailer buck and twist. The 7-3/4" curved equalizers in this kit balance the movement between axles so the suspension flexes together. That shared motion helps reduce bounce and binding, keeping the tires planted and the ride steadier mile after mile.

Solid Mounting Geometry: Hanger Heights and Spacing Dialed In

Correct spacing is key when welding on new hangers. This setup achieves about 4-1/2" or 5" of clearance between the trailer frame and axle, depending on axle diameter. The included chart shows typical hanger distances for common spring sizes—like 29-1/2" between outer hangers and 34" between centers when using 25-1/4" to 26" springs—so you can mock up and verify alignment before the final weld.

Reliable Hardware that Stays Tight: 9/16" Bolts Torque to 65–95 ft-lbs

Loose suspension hardware leads to wear and noise. The 9/16" diameter shackle bolts in this kit tighten down securely—torque them between 65 and 95 ft-lbs for a firm, long-lasting joint. The locknuts hold torque through vibration and load changes, keeping the hangers, shackles, and equalizers moving smoothly without slop.

A Foundation for Custom Builds and Rebuilds

Whether you’re upgrading an older rig or fabricating a new triple-axle frame, this kit gives you a clean starting point. With all the hangers and equalizers matched in height and geometry, it’s a straightforward way to mount six double-eye leaf springs and get the suspension back in proper working order.

Perfect for the dump trailer I am building. Product was shipped fast and in good condition when it arrived. The product is easy to install but it would be nice if they added mounting instructions with the parts. This information is available on their website however and is easy to follow

by:

Everything is great all finished I appreciate the great service I’ve received from etrailer over many years

by:

My order was on hold fore quite some time so I called and spoke with Lauren and she took good care and found their was only one item holding things up so we canceled that item and she got the remaining order shipped right away. Ask for Lauren if you want it done right!

by:

by:

by:

Excellent quality. Needed a full triple axle kit. Everything was there. Turned the trailer over and had it put together and welded up in about 4 hrs. Will definitely be ordering more product from this company in the future.

by:

Great service and delivered on time

by:

We had an old tri-axle that needed work. Overall a good trailer just many road miles and worn parts. With this kit we were able to get it on the road again, with parts that match the job went quickly. The website even offered a diagram for proper spacing of the hangers for the layout.
This is only the second time I have used E-trailer, but if they keep up the great service, I can see many years of business helpiong to maintain my fleet of 100+ vehicals.

by:

Great quality. Great price. Went on 22k tri axle gooseneck. Tightened everything right up. Only wish is that the nylon bushings were softer steel aloy for longevity sake.

by:

The bolts and shackle set that I bought worked out wonderful bolted right up no issues had it done in a couple hours thanks so much Etrailer.com

Very good

by:

The bushings in my equalizers were worn out, so I was just going to buy new equalizers, then I decided to buy new bolts also. This kit cost less than the equalizers and bolts so I bought it. I went ahead and used the new shackles, but I now have a set of hangers laying around. It all fit well. I used it with PR4 springs. My existing hangers were already set up with the dimensions shown on the web page for this kit.

by:

I purchased this kit to replace my existing suspension on an old equipment trailer. Very happy with the product and the help that I received from Londyn in taking the time to help me find the right set to fit my trailer requirements.

A tip for if you are replacing them on a trailer with existing shackles or if you don't want to pull the axles out from underneath the trailer. If you set up the hangers onto a 2x4 you can clamp them into place with the board holding them in place and inline with each other so you can tack weld them to the frame without worrying about them bowing or twisting out of alignment. And it will save you lots of time and frustration.

by:

I use etrailer.com for all my trailer parts. Good products and a fair price.

by:

This was a great way to freshen up my high mileage trailer.

by:

The balancers are an upgrade from the 1980’s version we removed. Good quality kit and everything fit together nicely.

by:

I ordered this kit for a trailer that I bought as scrap iron to haul logs so I wouldn't tear up my good trailer. The first load I broke 3 shackles and 2 equalizers. I looked at parts and found this kit at a great price to rebuild my suspension. I had it within 3 days of the time I ordered, And the service was great!! The best part....... when I got the box I thought they knew me personally and had already seen the trailer I was working on, Redneck Trailer Parts LOL. I plan on getting rid of the redneck dually setup with a different set of axles and get rid of the trailer house wheels and make it into a gooseneck. I will for sure get all my parts from Etrailer.com for the rest of this project and any other trailer parts I need. VERY VERY pleased with the parts, service and fast shipping!!

by:

We installed the kit on a home-built 25' gooseneck trailer that we were converting from 2 axles to 3. This kit, along with new leaf springs on all 3 axles, went on with no issues, and it has been running strong with no problems since the installation. We've put quite a bit of weight on the trailer between logs, lumber, tractors, and equipment, and there have been no issues so far. It was great to have everything we needed, (other than springs), in one kit!

And etrailer has always been good about fast delivery, easy purchasing, and great updates on status. Things have gone so smoothly that we have never had to contact Customer Service, so I can't comment on how they do!

  • Suspension Recommendations for a Triple Axle Gooseneck Trailer
We do have a variety of spring hangers you can use for a 7K triple axle system, and or that I recommend the Triple-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit # APTT5 which will space your axles 34" apart on center (see attached photo) and is compatible with 1-3/4" wide leaf springs like the 7K 6-Leaf Double-Eye Spring # e64SR. The Dexter Heavy Duty Suspension Kit # K71-360-00 is designed for 33 inch axle spacing. To add your third axle, you cannot simply add a hanger spring and axle. With that said, to add your third axle you're going to need the U-Bolt Kit for Mounting 5,200-lb to 7,000-lb, Round Trailer Axles # APUBR-8, the Triple-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs # APTT5, and the 6-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 5,300-lb Trailer Axles # e76SR. Since you have 7K axles, these are the correct match, as each spring is rated for 3,500 lbs. That pairing is exactly what you want for proper suspension performance.
